"To Bee"
When politics antagonizes people, I use the figure of a bee to check whether we are still able to talk to each other .................................................................................................. Normality is a luxury – I identify with the girl from the yard. From the carpet beater. Who will buy herself kefir and drink it while sitting next to a friend with a sprained knee on the curb. They will lean their bikes against the wall of a tenement house. Freedom – there is freedom in such a life.
Life is simple. Inconvenient. Hot. The water is icy. Dust sticks and stains clothes. Mosquitoes buzz so you can't sleep. The bites hurt. The pain is real. There are no mosquitoes now. The parks are sprayed. There are no bees. There is no heat. There is air conditioning. It's easier for me now. I appreciate it. Everything is new. Better. Prettier. New shoes every season. New designs every season. I have to have it all. I get caught up in desires. And that's why I'm going to the grass on Sunday. Ants crawl under my clothes. A pebble in my shoe rubs my ankle. I need this weekend to endure another week of perfect city life.
