I am deeply honored that three of my paintings have been included in the newly published catalog accompanying the exhibition devoted to Waldemar Cwenarski. My heartfelt thanks.
The long-awaited publication by curator Anna Chmielarz, created for the exhibition presented at Pavilion of Four Domes Museum of Contemporary Art, is far more than a catalogue. It is a sensitive and profound meditation on the life and artistic journey of Cwenarski — a conversation across generations of painters and printmakers, among them Józef Hałas, Käthe Kollwitz, Tadeusz Makowski, Frans Masereel, Marek Oberländer, Georges Rouault, Witold Wojtkiewicz and Andrzej Wróblewski.
To discover several of my own works within these pages is both moving and humbling. There are moments in an artist’s life when one feels quietly woven into a larger story of memory, sensitivity, and artistic search. This is one of them.
