2015 "strike of the museum employees", MUSEUM NIGHT, in front of the National Museum, Wroclaw

The very situation – the existence of museums creates the need to employ people as guardians. Thus, one can formulate the idea that as a result of the civilizational development of Western societies, which place art, cultural heritage, and the most valuable things in specially designed temples of art – museums – the need for the existence of a profession – a museum room supervisor – has been created. Today, on the Night of Museums, we try to understand, to step into the shoes of museum room supervisors around the world; to observe and try to feel what it is like to be with art for 8 hours a day – professionally. Tonight, at the most challenging day for the museum employees, when huge crowds are visiting, we put a spotlight not on the works, but on the people who are with us in the museums. This is our – the creators’ – strike in te name of the employees - to support them.
