The Series “No – because I said so” can be described as an artistic notebook in which the artist describes and ironically comments on expectations of potential buyers of her work. “Goods” which the buyer is seeking must match their wallpaper (Does it match my wallpaper?), it can’t be too dark (BEWARE DARK PICTURE), but a nice and gentle color which is quite welcome ( Pictures in sepia and blue are excellent sells). A painting, said Henri Mattise, should be like a comfy armchair (Paint something nice); and it’s reaction shouldn’t arouse strong emotions (W ogόle myśleć nie lubię) ( I don’t like thinking).

The value of the paining is guaranteed by the emotional involvement of the artist, “real” art is the effect of the long standing creative effort . (This picture I painted 2 and 1/3 m… written on the picture may mean a minute or a month – the price of this piece depend on how it was read) . The amount of materials used is also important ((So little paint? What I am paying for?). And portraits? Of course their function is in creating a positive impression of the model and building aesthetical happiness with one’s self ( This is not me. I am pretty).
